My shifts on the ER were about 9-11hrs and some doctors do not eat the entire shift (MAJORLY HANGRY). But i work in an ER and will work with the same doctor maybe 2xs a month so its difficult for me to justify asking one of them for a letter of rec. They recently cut pay for trainers and there really is no other incentive to stay except the rapport that your build with a doctor. They are completely unorganized and there is such quick turnover because of how poor the morale is. I applied in Jan 2019 and I did not start until July 2019. I had a Chief scribe that was an absolute nightmare and I ended up transferring right after my training shift. So I had about the similar experience as you.

Hey! im currently scribing on shift at the ER. I hope your experience goes better than mine, but please keep in mind that these companies have no issues with the way they treat us pre health students. I had a pretty negative outlook on the job before I even started, was stressed out like you wouldn’t believe, and felt more like a number rather than an actual human. I spent my summer unemployed because I relied on ScribeAmerica to keep their promises. I went through the process again but kept running into bullshit and eventually gave up on the company. I then had to go through the application process all over again. Halfway through the summer I eventually left a complaint about how my case has been treated and I finally got in touch with another rep who said my original interviewer has been on “permanent leave” and did not forward my application to anyone. Started trying to get into contact with ScribeAmerica staff and was constantly left hanging or was redirected to other people who could not help. Two weeks into May and I still hadn’t heard anything. I replied saying I was still interested and didn’t hear anything back from the interviewer anymore. I was told I’d be contacted by the person who interviewed me in April asking if I was still interested in the position, which I was. Too keep tunings short, I applied in early February of 2019 and was told I’d have a job come early May. Not trying to discourage you at all, but my experience with ScribeAmerica was absolutely terrible. Please post your success story to this thread for our Wiki!
